Андрей — не новичок в этих местах. Он был взят из детдома в семью полковника Реутова, служащего в Соснах, и его жены Дарьи. С их родной дочерью Полиной Андрея связывают детская любовь – и парень надеется на скорую свадьбу.
Но чувства Полины оказываются лишь дружескими. А вскоре девушка и вовсе понимает, что ее сердце тянется к другу Андрея – Дмитрию…

В городе появилась новая мафия, занимающаяся контрабандой. Товар переправляется с помощью различных морских судов. Конечно, у полиции нет людей, чтобы досконально проверять каждый отправляемый груз. Поэтому принимается решение о внедрении одного из детективов в мафию.
