Как быть, если однажды из-за засилья бандитов и коррумпированных чиновников честно жить и трудиться на собственной земле становится невозможно? Поддаться давлению обстоятельств и навсегда уехать, продав за бесценок хозяйство и землю? Или, несмотря на смертельную опасность и страх за близких людей, бросить преступной системе вызов?

«Хуторянин» — социальная драма об отношениях человека и власти. Главный герой Сергей Краснов (Андрей Чернышов) — бывший полковник российской армии и владелец собственного процветающего хутора на юге России.

Год назад Краснов столкнулся с произволом чиновников и земельной мафии, но отказался носить взятки и идти на компромиссы. Чтобы сломить несговорчивого офицера, бандиты убили его жену. Краснов остался один с малолетним сыном Ваней и дочкой Ксенией, но все равно не сдался.

Всем известно, что во главе преступной пирамиды стоит некто Сухомлинов (Олег Басилашвили) — бывший мэр города, а ныне теневой хозяин края. Но на все ключевые посты в городе он поставил своих людей. И главная его цель — завладеть наиболее перспективными хозяйствами области, чтобы еще больше укрепить свою власть.

Однако вскоре Краснову удается найти единомышленников. Он знакомится с двумя оперативниками – следователем Анной Шуваловой (Александра Урсуляк) и оперативником Муромцевым (Владимир Кошевой), которые славятся в округе своей принципиальностью и неподкупностью. Вместе они начинают раскручивать дело «Хозяина» и вступают в борьбу с организованной преступностью.

How you define Stephen Duneier depends on how you came to know him. Some define him as an expert institutional investor, while others know him as a large scale installation artist, avid outdoorsman, professor, decision strategist, coach, business leader, mindfulness extremist, author, speaker, daredevil or Guinness world record holder. In his talk, Stephen explains that what truly defines him arent titles, but an approach to decision making that transformed him from someone who struggled with simple tasks to a guy who is continuously achieving even his most ambitious dreams.

For thirty years, he has applied cognitive science to investing, business and life. The result has been the turnaround of numerous institutional businesses, career best returns for managers who have adopted his methods, the development of a $1.25 billion dollar hedge fund and a rapidly shrinking bucket list.

Mr. Duneier teaches graduate courses on Decision Analysis in UCSB’s College of Engineering. His book, AlphaBrain is due for release in early 2017 from Wiley

In this talk Roberto discusses his three phase system which he uses to teach English without teaching English, to improve the learning experience for students and the teaching practice for professors.

Robert Guzman is a full professor at the University of Puerto Rico, Aguadilla Campus. Guzman teaches undergraduate English courses in which he stresses the development of critical thinking skills and hands on language development skills. He’s also a freelance writer and political commentator on the WPRA 990 AM radio show Comunicando with host Toti Figueroa. So far Guzman has published, among other books The Devil’s Advocate Reader, Tropical Tales of Terror, Mitos y Conflictos en la Biblia and Heroes.
